  • Passionate about people? ❤️
We designed this event for you.

This is a summit, not a stage show! That means our speakers are also attendees, and attendees can bring as much value to the table as anyone we’ve asked to speak. And no sales pitches, period.

Who are you going to meet?
    – Coworking space members: freelancers, independents, remote workers, and entrepreneurs.
    – Coworking support staff & founders
    – Coworking newbies & aspiring operators.
    – Team leaders & managers.
    – Coworking & future of work researchers.
    – …and community builders of all kinds!

What are you going to learn?
For our second People at Work Summit, in July 2017, our speakers and sessions are focused into three main areas of learning and discussions:
    • The people who work in coworking spaces.

What do freelancers, independents, remote & nomadic workers, and entrepreneurs really care about? How do “new workers” work together, solve problems, and succeed? What does everybody need to live and work in the modern world?

Learn from their experiences and get their advice on how to make your membership worth much more than a desk.

    • Skills & secrets for bringing people together.

Whether you’re trying to build a stronger community vibe, or trying to unite a team, coworking is a laboratory for bringing people together. Learn what works, what doesn’t, and how communities contribute to individual and group successes.

Whether you’re a founder, staff member or volunteer, you work hard to make your community better. We want you to be a part of the People at Work Summit.

You’ll come away from the summit with an even stronger understanding of how and why people thrive in your community, honing the role that you can play in helping them succeed.

    • A buzzword-free look at the future of work & collaboration

Instead of simply pondering the future of work, let’s learn what we can do today to make the “future of work” better…today. What skills do we still need to learn, and teach? What does the research tell us is coming next? What small changes can we make to get more immediate results?

Look, you don’t need to know anything about coworking or digital nomadism or whatever buzzwords to be part of this event. Hell, you don’t even have to know what your current goals are. All you need is a hearty curiosity for the future of work and the drive to be part of it.

The “future of work” is about knowing how to work well with other people, regardless of environment, skill set or any other circumstance. It’s about understanding relationships and recognizing resources in front of you to do better work, no matter where you are or what you do, and it’ll help generate long-term growth and prosperity in the 21st century.

  • The most bang 💣💥
    for your conference buck.

No planes. No trains. No hotels.

Skip the red-eye flights. Save your AMEX points and airline rewards for that vacation you’ve been dreaming of. We made People At Work a “virtual conference” so you can participate from anywhere in the world without the expense and exhaustion of travel. Keep those hard-earned dollars in your pocket, and sleep in your own bed.

Zero fluff. 100% actionable advice. Start using what you learned immediately.

We’ve built a unique kind of conference schedule where EVERY SINGLE SESSION has actionable takeaways. Every presenter is personally coached to help bring you the most value possible in fast, focused talks.

A chance to learn from people outside of our industries.

Each People at Work Summit speaker has been invited specifically because they bring unique perspective and experience that will expand your mind and challenge your assumptions. Some talks will be entertaining. Some will be inspiring. Some might even be controversial.

Our promise: it doesn’t matter if you’re an entrepreneur who learned about coworking yesterday, or a coworking industry veteran, you will learn something new and valuable.

Meet people who do what you do from around the world.

Let’s not fool ourselves – the biggest reason to go to events is to meet other people. The moment you register for the People at Work Summit, you’ll be invited to join a dedicated chat room just for attendees, speakers, and organizers so you can start getting to know people BEFORE the event begins.

    Screen_Shot_2016-04-06_at_11.35.54_AM

Everything is recorded so you don’t miss a thing.

Have you ever been a part of an amazing conversation and then later think, “I wish I had been writing all of that down!”?

The People at Work Summit is recorded (video AND text chat, unless a session is specifically off the record) so you don’t have to worry about missing an important note or takeaway. This lets you focus on paying attention while watching live with other participants in the chat room, and then go back and watch the replay on your own time to take notes or share takeaways with your team & community.

Even if you’ve got a busy schedule and can only attend part of the three day schedule, you’ll have forever-access to the video talks & the chat room transcripts.

  • What last year’s peeps said 🌈

    • “So cool to see we’re all in this around the world. For the first time I truly felt a universal conference for people in coworking.”

      Nicolas Bergé, Les SatellitesNice, France
    • “Getting away can be hard, so the summit coming to me was good. The diversity of presentations (coworking, but not just spaces) meant a lot to me.”

      Tim Ford, Cohoots CoworkingCastlemaine, Australia
    • “I said ‘yes’ to the Summit with a little bit of skepticism, unsure I could get the same value at an online conference. I was delighted to find I found lots of value in the process!”

Kate Lake, My Office & MoreLakeland, FL
    • “I could fit this event into my work and life easily. The price was also affordable – and because I could rewatch talks at a time that suited me, and catch up on conversations in Slack, I knew I’d really get lots of value for money.”
